Meeting was called to orderMinutes from November 17, 2009 were approved without dissentTreasurer's Report: $2,003.00 in accountBoard met 1/27/2010 and discussed liability insurance for PTCCA boardBudget will be drafted in AprilAnnual dues will be collected in JuneMotion to pursue liability insurance for organization was made by Tim Lydell,seconded by Brian Dingivan. Motion approved.Meeting Reports: a.) 1/21 and 2/4 City Council Meetings-Hotel/Motel Tax-raising % and distribution; nothing decidedLease Agreement with Dog Park Association-charging a membership or usagefeeDiscussed dog ordinance-changing the voice command to keep more in line withthe county ordinanceLowering amphitheater fees for high school eventsTree Permit-proposing a $25 permit fee to offset the cost of having staff check ontree removal permit requestsCity Website- have made some updates to the website; working on a citizensupport section ie. reporting graffiti, road hazards, trash, that would thenbe automatically forwarded to the correct departmentb.) No one present that attended the most recent FCBOE meetingc.) Imker's Budget Workshop:Good turnout-about 40 people were presentTalked about areas that could be cut/worked on; received a lot of good input fromthe citizensd.) Cell Tower workshop:Presentation by several telecommunication companies; Planning Commissionand City Council presentCity realizes this is a hot topic; not going to do anything until an ordinance is inplace; wants to look at telecommunication within Peachtree City in acomprehensive mannerOld Business: a.) Animal Control Ordinance-PTCCA will follow-up with what the city council is doing onthis matterb.)Cell Tower Position Paper-PTCCA will keep up with developments; at present it is toosoon to submit a position paper.Juan Matute commented on the conditions of roads within the city and the volume oflarge trucks within the city, specifically all the garbage/recycling trucks that now servicethe city and subdivisions.Tim Lydell brought up the upcoming Budget Retreat. This retreat, being held March12th and 13th, will set the agendas for the upcoming budget. Considered the idea ofputting together a list of things that we feel they need to look into. Recommended thatwe survey our neighborhoods to get their input.New Business: a.) Membership Recruitment assignments: The members of the PTCCA will becontacting subdivision HOAs in order to update information and to let them know aboutthe PTCCA. Once subdivisions have been contacted, we will forward the updatedinformation to Betsy Tyler.b.) Website: The Board has recommended that the PTCCA website be updated. Amotion to pursue a new website, designed and maintained by PTC Geeks, at a start-upcost of no more than $400 and a monthly maintenance cost of $35 was made, andunanimously approved.Next meeting of the PTCCA will be March 9, 2010 at 7pmMeeting adjourned.
