There was not a quorum for the meeting so no official votes were taken.
Minutes from March 9, 2010 meeting were presented.

B. Treasurer’s Report – No changes were made to the balance this month. We have a balance of 1633.16.

C. Meeting Reports

City Council

April 1 – The Sprinkler motion was denied, the city is discussing the recreational use of the lakes for business purposes – they may be developing a policy

April 12th
The cell tower has a nice powerpoint which shows the most likely areas – the current plan is that they will select 3 areas (probably the Police Station, Aquatic Center, and the Funeral Home on 74) Workshop – On animal control and Cell Tower placement – please gather input from Neighborhood

D. Old Business

a) Mark Hollums from the Development Authority visited – We discussed how we can help. The biggest part will be gathering input such as Which merchants would you support in the village centers? First places they are concentrating on are Braelinn and Aberdeen areas. Mr. Hollums explained how they were separate from the Tourism board but also worked together and how each is funded. He mentioned a website 350project.org which encourages folks to buy local. Just a note – Trader Joe's is not expanding in Georgia for at least 2 years so don't ask.

There was some further discussion about the website and its improvements. Beth would be snding out emails to members asking for input on the Animal Control issue and on a bylaw change to allow membership options for subdivisions of less than 10 members.
